Hello everyone,
This is my 1st blog on my site.. decided it was time to actually write something to entertain you. 
Sunday I am doing a shoot with my friend, Davinia Roberts, for PLASTIC HEAVEN’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection of outerwear. Mostly head pieces, scarves and a purse or two. The styling is very “Brooklyn, NYC”, kind of bohemian and not so pretentious, so I am thinking the makeup should also be in this genre. What I want to do is do an amazingly sexy BOLD, MATTE lip that’s not crazy defined, so it looks as if she just threw it on, as most Brooklyn gals would do. Im not sure of the color yet, but will get inspired the day of when I see the clothing and our model, Kait. Then do a nude-ish cheek with a nice highlight to catch the flash of the camera. Eyes, Id want something neutral color-wise but a ton of lashes- maybe even NO eye liner. Brows will be defined but NOT dark.
BROW RANT:
(I am kinda over this dark, defined brow that I see as an easy way to make a look more masculine and “edgy”- just a thought.) Brows can make or break a look, so PLEASE use caution when filling in a brow.. almost never use a black pencil or black powder in the brow for a natural look, NO ONE’s brows are black!! Even if they are Asian, they are still dark brown for the most part. If you are to use a black, it should be for a more defined look that’s not natural.. because it wont look natural. If you want the brows to look lighter, try using a white kohl pencil to block some of the hair color and to coat the lashes with the creamier texture of the kohl pencil. This will allow u to be able to comb through or brush on pretty much any color you want or you can go over the brow with concealer or foundation and powder to completely block them out. Another fun thing to try is a shiny, wet looking disappearing brow, do the same white kohl pencil then comb in some caster oil!!! Its beautiful!!
